Electric Department

The electric supply and distribution system is owned by the City of Mount Vernon and is currently undergoing an upgrade to 12kv to handle the growth and demand both on a residential and commercial level. The department has four full-time employees utilizing two aerial bucket trucks to maintain the system and install equipment for new customers.
