City Hall

City Hall is located at 109 N Hickory St., on the city square. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Services Available at City Hall
Citizens are welcome to come to City Hall to pay their utility bills, which include electric, water, sewer, and trash usage. New residents must contact the City Hall for service connections.
The Municipal Court Clerk is located at City Hall. Municipal Court questions may be directed to the Court Clerk.
Driver License Tests are given at the Mount Vernon Police Department at 319 E Dallas Street every Friday.
The driver examiners can be reached at 417-942-8046.
Other services include burn permits, building permits, golf membership sign-ups, maps, and general questions. (Note: Click on building permits and golf membership for more information on the fees required.)
City Offices
City Hall houses the administrative office of the City, including the Mayor, City Administrator, City Clerk, and City Treasurer. It also houses the offices of the Building and Code Enforcement Department, Economic Development, and the Public Works Director. The Police Department, including the Chief of Police's office, is located at 319 E Dallas St.
